He was son of the late Barney Wilford and Nicey Maude Shearon Watkins. He is also preceded in death by three sisters, Audrey Griffith, Barbara Hill and Thelma Watkins; and six brothers, Jack, Malcolm, Barney, Wesley, Dennis and Kenny.
