Jay W. Beavers, age 82, of Florence, passed away Friday, Feb. 12, 2016. after a brief illness.
A graveside service will be held Sunday, Feb. 14, 2016, at 2 p.m. in Greenview Memorial Park.
He was preceded in death by his parents, Wheeler Franklin and Georgia Mae Beavers, and two sisters.
He leaves behind the love of his life and companion of 14 years, Jean Hanback, and her family.
Jay was a Veteran and was a retired U.S. postal worker. He was an outstanding good man with a charming, friendly personality.
