FLORENCE-ALEA has released a statement concerning the shooting of Lauderdale County Deputy Randall McCrary which occurred Wednesday, February 3:
“Special Agents with ALEA’s State Bureau of Investigation (SBI) are investigating an officer-involved shooting at the request of the Lauderdale County District Attorney. The shooting occurred today, Feb. 3 at a residence on Ridge Avenue in Florence. It resulted in both a Lauderdale County Sheriff’s Deputy and a male subject being shot. Once the investigation is complete, the findings will be turned over to the Lauderdale County District Attorney. Nothing further is available as the investigation is ongoing.”
