Nell Haraway, 84, died Wednesday at ECM Hospital. She was born Sept. 23, 1931, in Lauderdale County to the late Henry and Effie Haraway. She was a member of the Old Mt. Bethel Cumberland Presbyterian Church.
Services will be 3 p.m. today at Old Mt. Bethel Cumberland Presbyterian Church with Terry Herston officiating. Visitation is today from 2 p.m. until service at the church with burial in Thornton – Ingram Cemetery. Pallbearers will be Matt Tubbs, Tommy Word, Andy Hannah, Jeremy Herston, Matthew Herston, and Michael Camp.
She is survived by brother, Gerald Haraway, of Fairhope, Alabama; sisters, Carolyn Jones and Marie Camp, of Rogersville, Alabama; two nieces; and one nephew. She was preceded in death by sister, Celestine Haraway.
Spry Funeral Home, Athens, is directing.
