Eulene Thomason of Cherokee passed away on January 27th, 2016 at the age of 90. Her visitation will be Thursday, January 28th, 2016 from 6:00 p.m. until 8:00 p.m. at Morrison Funeral Home in Cherokee. The funeral service will be Friday, January 29th, 2016 at 2:00 p.m. in the funeral home chapel with Dwight Rivers officiating. Burial will follow in Barton Cemetery.
Eulene was born in Mount Hope and resided in Cherokee. She was a homemaker and member of Cherokee First Baptist Church. She was preceded in death by her husband, Owen Dean Thomason, granddaughter, Britney Deaton, and brother, Grady Houston.
Her survivors include her daughters, Beverly Thompson (Robert) and Thresa Deaton (Roger), both of Barton; brother, Billy Houston, of Cherokee; sisters, Ruby Lawler of Tuscumbia, Freda Pounders of Tuscumbia, and Jean Linville of Harvest; grandchildren, Channing Thompson, Heather Hardy, Jamie Thompson, Nicky Deaton, and Lisa Deaton; and great-grandchildren, Caylee and Luke Thompson, Will and Tucker Hardy, Haystin Thompson, Kendall Brown and Abby Barber.
Chad Hardy, Channing Thompson, Earl Dean Thomason, Jack Cochran, Roy Thomason, and Brandon Deaton will serve as pallbearers. Jamie Thompson, Luke Thompson, Tucker Hardy, Will Hardy, and Haystin Thompson will serve as honorary pallbearers.
