SHEFFIELD-An early morning, January auto accident has resulted in the death of 25-year-old Richard Edwards of Muscle Shoals who was identified by County Coroner Carlton Utley.
According to Sheffield Police the one-car accident occurred around 4:00 A.M. on Cox Boulevard in Sheffield. The car was traveling southbound when it ran off the road on the west side and hit trees. Edwards was a passenger in the car and was ejected from the vehicle.
The other passenger and driver of the vehicle were injured and airlifted to Huntsville Hospital.
The accident remains under investigation by the Sheffield Police Department.
