Joyce Sullivan Webb 89 of Tuscumbia passed away suddenly Tuesday, January 5, 2016. Visitation will be 10:00 am until 12:00 pm Friday January 8, 2016 at Morrison Funeral Home, Tuscumbia, AL. The funeral service will be 12:00 p.m. Friday at the funeral home chapel. Interment will follow in New Bethel Baptist Church Cemetery. Bro. Danny Russell will officiate.
Joyce was a native of Fairview, TN and was a resident of Tuscumbia for most of her life. She was a loving homemaker, mother, grandmother, and great-grandmother. She was a member of the New Bethel Baptist Church for over 65 years. She was active in the community and church. She was a very talented Christian lady who was proud of her work during WWII at an aircraft factory in San Bernadino, CA.
She was preceded in death by her husband John Robert Webb, Jr; son John Robert (Butch) Webb, III; parents Arthur and Nancy Sullivan and siblings Gladys Bradford, Mable Stinson, Eula Smithson, Eunice Finley, Leechie Sullivan, Sarah Lampley, Arthur Sullivan, Dexter Sullivan and Eugene Sullivan.
Survivors are her sons Kenneth Ray Webb of Sheffield and Thomas Dean Webb of Tuscumbia; daughters Linda Gail Mann (Jacky), Sandra Lee Hester (Larry), Nancy DeAnna Borden (Dwight), all of Tuscumbia; brother James Carl Sullivan of Franklin, TN; grandchildren Tara Ford, Chad Hester, Jon Mann, Amber Parker, Chris Webb, Jeffie Borden, Jessica Borden and Michelle Wilkinson; nine great-grandchildren and many nieces and nephews.
Pallbearers will be family and friends.
In lieu of flowers memorials may be made to Big Oak Ranch, St. Judes Children’s Hospital or a favorite charity.
