Mable Modena Talley of Cherokee passed away on Wednesday, January 6th, 2016 at the age of 78. Her visitation will be Thursday, January 7th, 2016 from 6:00 p.m. until 8:00 p.m. at Morrison Funeral Home, Cherokee. The funeral service will be Friday, January 8th, 2016 at 11:00 a.m. in the funeral home chapel with Gary Cosby officiating. Burial will follow in Harris Chapel Cemetery.
Mable was a native of Cherokee and attended the Cumberland Presbyterian Church. She was preceded in death by her husband, Billy Talley; and her parents, John and Lillie Mae Cochran.
She is survived by her sons, William D. Talley and wife Becky, Dudley J. Talley and wife Sandy, and John P. Talley and wife Lisa; daughter, Paula Cochran and husband Chuck; 14 grandchildren and 27 great grandchildren.
Mable’s grandsons, Randall Talley, Bradley Talley, DJ Talley, Mathew Talley, Adam Talley and Blake Cochran will serve as pallbearers.
