Walston Harold Pace – Obituary

Mr. Walston Harold Pace, 82, died peacefully at his home on Dec. 27, 2015.
Mr. Pace was a veteran of the United States Army, serving in the Korean War, and retired from Reynolds Alloys after 39 years. He was an avid Alabama football fan, rode Harley Davidson motorcycles and was a master mechanic who loved working on old motorcycles and cars. He was a loving father, grandfather, great-grandfather and brother. Harold loved spending time with family, especially all his grandchildren. Time spent with his special grandchildren, Justin, Jonathon, Troy and Kaitlyn, is what made his life special.
Visitation will be Wednesday, Dec. 30, 2015, from 1 p.m. until 2:30 p.m. at Greenview Funeral Home. There will be a graveside service following at Greenview Memorial Park at 2:30 p.m., with the Rev. Chad Hess officiating.
Mr. Pace was preceded in death by parents, Daniel Walston and Mattie Bela (Hester) Pace, and beloved pets, Spot, Brutus and Susie.
Survivors include his devoted wife of 50 years, Laura Ellen; daughter, Jennifer (David), of Florence; son, Walston (Teresa), of Florence; daughter, Sandra (Mike), of Tennessee; daughter, Patricia (Tucker), of Tennessee; daughter, Rhonda (Doug), of Tennessee; brother, Kenneth (Mary Alice), of Sheffield; sisters, Estelle Willis, of Sheffield, and Margie Province, of Tuscumbia; 10 grandchildren; and 10 great- grandchildren.
Grandchildren and friends will serve as pallbearers.
