Fannie B. Nixon, age 101, passed away Tuesday, Dec. 22, 2015. Visitation will be Saturday, Dec. 26, 2015, from 11 a.m. to 1 p.m. at Colbert Memorial Chapel with services to follow in chapel at 1 p.m. Brother Greg Beasley will be officiating. She was the wife of the late Samuel E. Nixon. She was a member of Valley Grove Baptist Church.
Mrs. Nixon was preceded in death by husband, Samuel E. Nixon, and nine siblings.
Survivors are sons, Johnny Nixon (Brenda) and Frank Nixon (Mary); grandchildren, Amy Farley (Jay), Gayla Gist (Bill), Nathan Nixon, and Morgan Nixon; great-grandchildren, Samuel and Makenzi Farley and Noah Gist; sister, Robbie Whitten; and beloved friend, Wanda Berry; a host of loving nieces and nephews; and other family members.
Pallbearers are Steve Houston, Ray Counts, Larry Lee Underwood, Doug Myhan, Sammy Dennis, and Wayne Jeffreys.
