Hershel Petty, 88, passed away Monday, December 14, 2015, at The Meadows . He was born March 29, 1927 to the late Will Petty and the late Beddie McDonald Petty in Itawamba County. He retired from Jesco after many years of service. He enjoyed hunting, fishing, gardening, and just being outdoors.
Services will be at 2 pm on Thursday December 17, 2015 at Senter Funeral Home. Burial will be in Fairview Cemetery. Visitation will be from 5 to 8 pm on Wednesday December 16, 2015 at Senter Funeral Home.
Survivors include his wife of 68 years, Geneva Petty, 2 Sons, Trelvy (Linda) Petty of Fairview, Ray (Linda) Petty of Vina, AL, 6 Granddaughters, Brenda (Phillip) Horn of Belmont, Stephanie Coleman of Fairview, Tina (Wesley) Gray of Tishomingo, Elizabeth Ann (Dudley) Hallmark of Mantachie, Tonuia (Michael) Dill of Mantachie, Brandie Crabb of Tupelo, 10 great grandchildren, and 1 great great grandchild, 2 Brothers, Ezell (Bobbie) Petty of Golden, Martell (Hazel) Petty of Golden.
He was preceded in death by his parents, 3 Brothers, Truman Petty, Noonan Petty, Durell Petty, and 3 Sisters, Opal Hall, Tula Stanfield, Mae Miller.
