MADISON-Madison Police Department confirms a shooting on Coral Court in Madison today around noon, December 9. No more information is available on the shooting.  According to officals with the Madison County School System James Clemens High School, Mill Creek, Liberty Middle School and Heritage Elementary School have all been moved to a code yellow because of the shooting.

John Peck of Madison City School Systems says code yellow lockdown is used to secure all students inside a building when a potential threat exists off campus. In this case, there was criminal activity off campus on the west side of the city. The schools are taking extra precautions until the suspect is found. Normal operations will resume when the police department advises it is safe.

The Madison Police are at the scene,  when more information becomes available we will bring it to you here.
