MADISON-The Code Yellow has been dropped for the four Madison City Schools. The four schools were placed under the code yellow shortly after the shooting on Coral Court in Madison. Schools have resumed normal operations.
A statement from the Madison Police regarding the shooting that took place today, December 9:
“On December 9, 2015, Madison Police Officers responded to a call involving shots fired in the 200 block of Coral Court. Officers arrived and located a 24 year old male in front of a residence with a gunshot wound to the leg. Officers secured the scene and worked with paramedics to arrange for transportation to the Huntsville Hospital Emergency Department.
Officers obtained information that three suspects were seen fleeing the area in a dark green small to mid-size vehicle. The suspects were wearing masks and no further description was available at the time.
Due to proximity of this incident Madison City Schools in this area were temporarily placed on lock down and released a short time later.
This is an on-going, developing investigation and no further information is available at this time.
