Joann Danielle Wiermers, 67, of Madison, passed away on Sunday, November 29, 2015. Mrs Wiemers was a native of Quantico, Virginia and a resident of Madison County for 23 years. She was a member of Grace United Methodist Church in Huntsville, Alabama, New Covenant Emmaus Community and the Kairos Prison Ministry. She is survived by her husband, Jerry Lyle Wiemers; sons, James Bryan Mackey and wife, Karen and Jason Andrew Mackey; mother and step-father, Clara Coleen and Charles Drake; sister, Carol Sue Luker; brother, William Malcom Leopard III and his wife, Angie; and two grandchildren, Kalyn Montminy and Ryan Palermo. The family will be receiving friends on Saturday, December 5 at Grace United Methodist Church in Huntsville, Alabama from 3:00 to 4:00 p.m. with a memorial service to begin at 4:00 p.m. Rev. Bryan Sisson will be officiating. In lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be made to Grace United Methodist Church in Huntsville, Alabama. Berryhill Funeral Home is assisting the family.
