Doris Agnes Parker, 84 of Guntersville, the Georgia Mountain Area died Saturday, November 28, 2015 at her residence.
Mrs. Parker was born May 8, 1931 in Sumiton, Alabama, Walker County, the daughter of Jessie and Allie Mae Ledbetter Robbins. She was a former resident of Chicago, lived in Guntersville for about 2 years and has since 1980 called Georgia Mountain area her home. She was a former production worker with H. D. Lee Plant in Guntersville.
She is survived by a son and daughter-in-law: Roger and Pam Parker; five grandchildren and spouses: Scott Antle, Eric Martel, Josh Parker (Leah), Shaun Cryer and Ron Cryer (Emily); seven great grandchildren; a brother: Paul Robbins, several nieces, nephews, other family members and many dear friends and neighbors; preceded in death by her husband: Earl V Parker (August 26, 2008), a son: Donald Ray Parker, a daughter: Joy McKinney, her parents, four brothers and five sisters.
Funeral Service will be 11:00 a.m. Tuesday, December 1, 2015 at Arab Heritage Memorial Chapel, Brother Jimmy Cole, officiating. Burial will be in Marshall Memorial Gardens, Hwy 205 South, Albertville; Arab Heritage Memorial Chapel, directing.
Pallbearers will be her grandsons and great grandsons.
Visitation will be 6 to 8 p.m. Monday, November 30, 2015 at Arab Heritage Memorial Chapel.
