Jeanette ‘Jan’ Rae (McKeller, Sturdevant) Den Hartog passed away at home, with her daughters by her side, on November 8th, 2015 at the age of 80. In her lifetime, she enjoyed music, dancing, crossword puzzles, game shows and growing plants. Jan is lovingly remembered by her daughters and son-in-laws; Jody and Rick Pollnow of Huntsville, Alabama, Judy and Charles Dugan of Leonardville, Kansas, and Patricia and Jim Steele of Yakima, Washington, and step-son Michael Den Hartog of Seattle, Washington. She is preceded in death by her son, Clinton Alvord and 3 husbands. “Grandma Jam” will be lovingly remembered into future generations by her 5 grandson’s and their families; Christopher Behrends of Tuson, Arizona, Brian Carlson of West Chester, Pennsylvania, Adam Behrends of Phoenix, Arizona, Joshua Carlson of Los Angles, California, and Eric Carlson, Wichita, Kansas. This includes 7 great-granddaughters, 6 great-grandsons and 2 great-granddogs. A memorial service will be Thursday, November 12, 2015 at The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-Day Saints at 6:30 p.m. Berryhill Funeral Home is assisting the family.
