LIMESTONE COUNTY-Carol Fay Hardy, a teacher’s aide at Blue Springs Elementary School has been placed on administrative leave after being arrested on Friday morning, November 6.
According to the Limestone County Sheriff’s Office a school resource officer from Clements High School was called to Blue Springs where Hardy was reported to be unsteady and making threats after not being able to locate her car. the officer smelled alcohol on Hardy’s breath and tried to administered a field sobriety test, which the suspect refused
No students were at any time in danger although the school was placed on “soft” lock down at the time of arrest.
“I want parents to know that we have a very professional expectation of all our employees. And when an individual doesn’t reach that standard there are appropriate actions that will be taken,” says Limestone County Schools Superintendent Tom Sisk.
Hardy has a bond set at $1,000.
