Norma Jean Wade Olive – Obituary

normaNorma Jean Wade Olive, 81, of Florence, passed away November 5, 2015 at E.C.M. Hospital after a brief illness. She was baptized at the age of thirteen at Mt. Zion Church of Christ, and was a member of Hendrix Chapel Church of Christ.

Visitation will be Saturday, November 7, 2015 from 5 – 8 p.m. at Greenview Funeral Home. The funeral service will be Sunday, November 8, 2015 at 2 p.m. at Hendrix Chapel Church of Christ with Wayne Wood officiating. Burial will follow in Greenview Memorial Park. The body will be placed in the church one hour prior to the service.

Mrs. Olive was preceded in death by her husband, Jessie W. Olive; parents, Arthur and Lucy Wade; son-in-law, Michael Tucker; and a sister, Doris Wright.

She is survived by her sons, Jessie Olive, Jr. “Bud” of Florence, Kevin Olive (Natalia) of Decatur; daughters, Susan Hinton (Marion) of Lutts, TN, Bobbie Tucker, Kathy Watkins (Anthony); sister, Ellen Smith (Jimmy) all of Florence; grandchildren, Wesley Tucker, Bradley Tucker, Kelli Tucker Jones, Will Hinton, Julie Hinton Radtke, Jeremy Olive, Eli Watkins, and Ashley Williams; great-grandchildren, Chandler Culbreth Tucker, Hallie Tucker, MaKenna Tucker, Mileigh Tucker, Palmer Tucker, Jaycie Goodloe, Brantley White, Gracie Mae Hinton, Gavin Randolph, Annabelle Radtke, and Brentlyn Watkins.

Active pallbearers will include grandsons: Wesley Tucker, Will Hinton, Jeremy Olive, Bradley Tucker, and Eli Watkins, and a great-grandson, Chandler Culbreth Tucker.

Honorary pallbearers will be nephews, Donnie and Tim Bevis, and a close family friend, W.J. Hall.
