Rose M. Hunt – Obituary

Rose M. Hunt, 74, passed away Friday, October 23, 2015, at the North Mississippi Medical Center. She was born June 10, 1941, in Laurel. She worked in medical records for the Itawamba County Hospital and Courtyards Nursing Facility. She was a member of Walnut Grove Baptist Church. She was a writer and musician and kept active in community organizations, such as the Salvation Army and Civitan Club. She enjoyed canning, gardening, and sewing. An avid conversationalist who never met a stranger, Rose possessed a genuine love for others by giving all she could to help others in need.

Services will be at 11 a.m. Tuesday, October 27, at the McNeece-Morris Funeral Home Chapel in Fulton with Bro. Joseph Jones officiating.

Survivors include her husband, Gale Midkiff, of Fulton; her son, Patrick Moore (Cathy) of Fulton; her daughter, Amy Price (Gregory) of Maynard, MA; and three grandchildren, Matthew Moore, Jackson Price, and Samantha Price.

She was preceded in death by her mother, Clara Autry Lusk; her father, Pat Williford; and her sister, Jeri McTune.

Honorary pallbearers will be her nephews and the men of Walnut Grove Baptist Church.

Visitation will be from 5 to 8 p.m. Monday, October 26, at the funeral home.
