Imogene Thomas Davis – Obituary

Imogene Thomas Davis, 94, passed away peacefully on Thursday. She was preceded in death by her husband, Dr. L.A. Davis, son, L.A. Davis, Jr., and grandson, Thomas Evan Davis, Jr.

Survivors include children, Thomas Davis (Sandy) of Athens, Jean Fleming (Pete) of Lillington, NC, and Robert “Bobby” E. Adams of Huntsville; grandchildren, Christina Davis of Tanner, and Daniel Fleming (Natalee) of Godwin, NC; two great-grandchildren; and three great-great-grandchildren.

Mrs. Davis was a devoted Christian and loving woman to all. She was a member of the Dental Auxiliary, Alabama chapter of Embroiders Guild and the Lioness Club. She was a longtime member of the Billie Scott Class at First United Methodist Church and actively served in various organizations and committees within the church.

Visitation will be from 12:30 to 2 p.m. Sunday at First United Methodist Church. The funeral service will follow at 2 at the church with the Rev. Coy Hallmark and the Rev. Michael Thomas officiating. Burial will be in Maple Hill Cemetery.

Memorials may be made to First United Methodist Church or the Ruth Ford Scholarship Fund at the church.
