Linda Faye Summerford, 59, passed away Thursday, October 22, 2015, at North Mississippi Medical Center in Iuka . She was born August 18, 1956 to the late John H. Buchanan and the late Ola Mae Moore Buchanan in Waukegan, IL. She was a member of Chapel Hill Church Of God of Prophecy. She married Charles Amos Summerford on February 24, 1978. She loved being a Pastor’s wife serving diligently beside him. She sang and ministered with her husband.
Services will be at 12 pm on Saturday October 24, 2015 at Senter Funeral Home with Danny Wilburn, and Jamie Wilburn. Burial will be in Union Grove Cemetery in Mooreville. Visitation will be from 10 am to 12 pm Saturday October 24, 2015 at Senter Funeral Home in Fulton.
She is survived by her husband of 37 years, Charles Summerford of Belomont, MS, 2 Daughters, Angie (Jeremy) Powell of McCalla, AL, Jackie Rose of Guin, AL, Grandchildren, Tyler Rose, Kennah Powell, and Zander Powell, 3 Sisters, Johnnie (Ray) Ashely of Fulton, Sandy (Danny) Wilburn of Mantachie, Joyce (John) Pitts of Mooreville, Brother, James F. (Betty) Buchanan of Fulton, step grandmother, Nancy Moore of Guin, AL, brother in law, Terry “Bud” Summerford, sister in law, Martha Jo (Danny) Calvert, sister in law, Eva Summerford, host of nieces, nephews, and cousins, aunt, Ann Colburn of Fulton, Uncle, Jerry Moore of Winfield, AL.
She was preceded in death by her parents, twin sister, Brenda Kaye Mitchell, and Brother, John Buchanan, Jr.
Pallbearers will be Bronson Pitts, Sid Pitts, Charles Mitchell, Skip Buchanan, Nathan Wilburn, Bill Durward.
