willieWillie Louis Loveless was born on May 29, 1956, to the late Mr. Robert (Money) Loveless and Mrs. Nancy Louise Darby.
Willie attended Cherokee Vocational High School and graduated in 1974. He enlisted in the United States Army in 1974 and was honorably discharged with a National Defense Service Medal in 1980.
After he returned home from the Army, he worked at various companies and was hired by TVA and began his career at TVA. He retired from TVA, Facilities Services, Colbert Steam Plant in January 2013 after 35 years of service.
He leaves to cherish his memories a devoted wife, Cassandra Burress Loveless; his mother, Mrs. Nancy Darby Loveless; seven sisters, Mrs. Naomi Hawkins and her husband, George, of Conyers, Georgia, Mrs. Ruby Scott and her husband, Jessie Scott, of Cherokee, Alabama, Mrs. Margaret Goodloe and her husband, Simon, of Cherokee, Alabama, Mrs. Fannie Garner, of Cherokee, Mrs. Bernice Foster and her husband, Joe, of Tuscumbia, Alabama, Mrs. Gwendolyn Goodloe and her husband, Dean, of Cherokee, Alabama, and Mrs. Doris Carter, of Cherokee, Alabama; two aunts Mrs. Mattie Long, of Cherokee, Alabama, and Mrs. Johnnie M. Darby, of Saginaw, Michigan; three brothers-in-law, Mr. Preston Carter, of Tuscumbia, Alabama, Mr. Gregory Burress and his wife, Deborah, of Tuscumbia, Alabama, and Mr. William Burress and his wife, Pamela, of Triangle, Virginia; one sister-in-law, Mrs. Linda Burress Martin and her husband, Herman, of Tuscumbia, Alabama; three stepsons Darrin Meade, Jarron Meade and Devin Marshall; and six grandchildren; a host of nieces, nephews, cousins and other relatives and friends.
Visitation with the family will be Tuesday, October 27, 2015, 6-7 p.m. Thompson and Son Funeral Home, Tuscumbia, Alabama.
Funeral service for Mr. Loveless will be noon Wednesday, October 28, 2015, at Zion No. 1 Missionary Baptist Church, Barton, Alabama, with the Rev. Karlos Felton, officiating.
Burial in Zion No. 1 Church Cemetery, Barton, Alabama. The body will be placed in the church at 11 a.m.
Public viewing will be 9 a.m.-8 p.m. today.
