Funeral services for Mr. Billy J. Rhodes, age 84, are scheduled for 1 PM, Wednesday July 15, 2015 at Palestine Presbyterian Church. Interment will follow in Scotts Hill Pentecostal Cemetery. Pafford Funeral Home in Lexington is in charge of arrangements. Mr. Rhodes passed away early Monday in Jackson. He was born November 5, 1930 in Decatur County to the late Sam and Lillie Thompson Rhodes. He was a carpenter and built homes in Jackson. He was a member of Palestine Presbyterian Church. He was preceded in death by one son, David Rhodes; four brothers, Earnest, Clyde, George, and John Rhodes; and four sisters, Mildred Hayes, Ruth Jenkins, Eula, and Ruby Lee Rhodes. Survivors include his wife of 24 years, Mrs. Evelyn Hart Rhodes; three sons, Danny (Anita) Rhodes of Scotts Hill, Mike Hart of Huron, and Steve (Janie) Hart of Scotts Hill; one daughter, Penny (Danny) Pope of Scotts Hill; three sisters, Faye Flowers of Dallas, TX, Carolyn Frazier of Monroe, MI; and Mary Lois White of Texarkana, AR; seven grandchildren; and eleven great grandchildren.
