J.K. Abbott, Sr., age 72, of Haleyville, Alabama passed away Sunday, July 12, 2015 at his residence. He retired from Caterpillar after 20 years of service.
Visitation will be Wednesday, July 15, 2015 from 5:00 to 8:00 p.m. at Pinkard Funeral Home, Haleyville, AL. There will be a graveside service Thursday, July 16, 2015 at 2:00 p.m. at Old Line Cemetery in Hodges, Alabama with Mark Kimbrell officiating.
Mr. Abbott is survived by his children, J.K. Abbott, Jr., Cynthia (Kenneth) Price, Cary (Michelle) Abbott, Kimberly (Agustin) Ascencio, and Danille (Neri) Velasquez; brother, Johnny Abbott; sisters, Lois Gambrel, Emma Townsend, and Glenda Jo Childers; grandchildren, Tim Price, Teri Mann, Amy Tucker, Jr Abbott, Kristin Whitten, Jesse Abbott, Jerry Abbott, Justin Abbott, Jeremy Abbott, Juan Alcaraz & Yasmine Abbott; and several great grandchildren.
He is preceded in death by parents, William Henry and Lillie Belle Abbott; wife, Dorothy Abbott; son, Rodney Abbott; daughter in law, Ellen Abbott; brother, Willie Abbott; and great grandson, Anthony Odell Tucker.
