Bobbie June Hightower Fell joined the heavenly choir Saturday June 20, 2015 at her home. Bobbie was a devoted Christian, church member and friend. But most of all she was a loving and devoted Nanny, Mother and Wife.
Her Celebration will be held at 3:00PM on Monday June 22, 2015 at Pinkard Funeral Home in Haleyville, AL., with Bro. Kayce Harrison and Bro. Mark Daniel conducting the service. Burial will follow at Antioch Cemetery in Phil Campbell, AL. The family will receive friends on Sunday June 21, 2015 from 6:00PM – 8:00PM at the funeral home.
Bobbie attended Phillips High School and graduated in 1958. Upon graduation she moved to Washington D.C. and took a position with the F.B.I. The she married the love of her life Billie Gene Fell, and attended cosmetology school. As a military family they experienced living in various places around the globe before settling back in Phil Campbell, AL. after Gene’s retirement from the Army.
Bobbie was a hair dresser up to 1994, during these years she often shared her love of Jesus to her customers and friends. She was always active in Antioch Baptist Church, where in past years she served as song director, adult and youth choir director, VBS director, WMU officer, and directed many Christmas and Easter plays at the church. In addition to this, she was once a member of three quartets: The Happy Christians, The Strivers and The Antioch Quartet. Not only did she give her heart and time to her church. She was also one of the main planners of the Phillips High School Class of 1958, in 2009 she was awarded Alumnus of the Year.
Meeting her on Heaven’s “Beautiful Shore” were her Parents, Rev. Duford and Carrie Hightower; Sisters, Louise Cagle, Eloise Shelnutt, Betty Faye Mobley, Nellie Jo Greely; Brother, Ronald Hightower.
She will be forever missed and loved by her Husband and caregiver Billie Gene Fell, Sr.; her Children, Billy (Lisha) Fell and Tina (Jeff) Seay; Grandchildren, Chance (Jennifer) Fell, Carrie (Tanner) Maddox, Tanner (Kaitlyn) Parker and Tiona Seay; Great Grandchildren, Tinlee and Paislee Parker and Tristen Parker; Sisters, Louelle Cole, IvaLee Dobbins, Sheila (Danny) Kimbrough; brothers, Cuetha (Yvonne) Hightower and Eddie (Mary Nell) Hightower and a number of nieces and nephews that loved her dearly.
The family would like to Thank, Dr. Keith Morrow, Dr. Guthrie, Dr. Fiveash and Antioch Church. A very special Thank You to Jennifer, Kathy, Sandy and the other precious caregivers of North Alabama Hospice.
