Etta Lou Schaut, age 95, died Thursday, June 18, 2015. The family will receive friends Sunday, June 21, from 1-3 p.m. at Spry-Williams Funeral Home. The funeral service will follow at 3 p.m. in the funeral home chapel with Brother Charlie James officiating. Burial will be Monday, June 21, at 10 a.m. at Tri-Cities Memorial Gardens.
Mrs. Schaut was a native of Franklin County and a member of Christian Fellowship Baptist Church of Florence. She was a loving mother and devoted wife to the late Otto Sisson and the late C. C. Schaut.
She is survived by her children, Gene (Martha) Sisson, of Harvest, Alabama, Dee (Lou) Sisson, of Sebastion, Florida, Jan (Ronnie) Moore, of Florence, Alabama, and Carole Hayes, of Muscle Shoals, Alabama. Mrs. Schaut was blessed with 13 grandchildren, 18 great-grandchildren, two great-great-grandchildren, and numerous nieces and nephews.
The family would like to extend a special thank you to Hospice of the Shoals and her niece, Denise Woodworth, caregiver. In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to Christian Fellowship Baptist Church.
