Roland Alford Wade – Obituary

rolandRoland Alford Wade, 83, passed away Monday, May 11, 2015, in Swartz Creek, Michigan, with family by his side.
Mr. Wade was a native of Franklin County, Alabama, who lived in Michigan for 40 years. After retirement from General Motors Corporation, he returned to Franklin County. He was a veteran of the U.S. Air Force and was a member of Shady Grove Free Will Baptist Church.
The funeral service will be today at 1 p.m. at Pinkard Funeral Home Chapel, Russellville, with burial in Liberty Hill Cemetery, Phil Campbell. Officiating will be Webster Wade. The family will receive friends at the funeral home today from 11 a.m. until service time.
Survivors include children, Shanda Wade and Sonja Wade; sisters, Lou Swinney and Beatris Nunn; brother, Jessie Wade; grandchildren, Sasha Wade and Brandon Fletcher; and numerous nieces and nephews.
He was preceded in death by his parents, Jimmy M. and Estella Cooper Wade.
Pinkard Funeral Home will be directing.
