James Maury “Jackie” Barnett, 72, of Lebanon, TN, formerly of Iuka, MS, died Tuesday, May 12, 2015, at North Mississippi Medical Center Inpatient Hospice in Tupelo. Mr. Barnett was a 1961 graduate of Burnsville High School, and was a Mississippi National Guard veteran. He was a carpenter and worked in residential construction. Funeral services are scheduled for 3:00 p.m., Thursday, May 14, at Cutshall Funeral Home Chapel in Iuka, officiated by Bro. Danny Short. Interment will follow in South Crossroads Cemetery. Visitation is scheduled for one hour prior to service time at the funeral home on Thursday. Cutshall Funeral Home of Iuka, MS is entrusted with arrangements. He is survived by two brothers, Tony Barnett of Tupelo, and Eddie Barnett of Booneville; and one sister, Linda Aldridge of Tupelo. He was preceded in death by his parents, Maury and Lela Hale Barnett, and a sister, Angie Cummings.
