Grady Lee George, 81 of Elkmont, Alabama died on Monday, May 11, 2015, at his home.
Born Friday, June 23, 1933 in Ardmore, Alabama, he was the son of the late Elmer Glenn George and the late Hazel Belle Dotson George. He lived most of his life in the Elkmont area and loved coon hunting. He was preceded in death by his parents, a brother: Jimmy George, grandson: Rusty George, and a granddaughter: Melissa Ussery.
Surviving are sons, Russell Kent (Tammy) George of Elkmont, AL, Randy (Lisa) George of Ardmore, AL and Keith Daniel George of Elkmont, AL, daughters, Judy (James) Ussery of Panama City, FL, Marsha (Barry) Tucker of Elkmont, AL, Angela Travis (Joe) Williams of Athens, AL and Christy (Thom) Blade, brothers, Melvin George of Madison, TN and Clyde George of Ardmore, AL, 22 grandchildren and 23 great-grandchildren.
Funeral services will be at 11:00 AM on Thursday, May 14, 2015, at Ardmore Chapel Funeral Home, Ardmore, Alabama with Doug Colwell and Bro. Bobby Powell officiating. Burial will be in Gatlin Cemetery, Ardmore, AL.
The family will receive friends from 5:00 PM to 8:00 PM on Wednesday, May 13, 2015, at Ardmore Chapel Funeral Home, Ardmore, Alabama
