Mrs. Zella Ruth Moore, 86, of Florence, passed away May 7, 2015 at her residence. She was a member of Underwood Baptist Church.
Visitation will be Saturday, May 9, 2015 from 11 – 1 p.m. at Greenview Funeral Home. The funeral service will begin at 1 p.m. in Greenview Memorial Chapel with the Rev. Donnie McDaniel officiating. Burial will follow in Greenview Memorial Park.
Mrs. Moore was preceded in death by her husband of 64 years, Thomas Moore, Jr.; parents, Albert and Clara Spires; sister, Lydamae Crosslin.
She is survived by her daughters, Pam Chambers (Phillip), Pat Davis (Bruce); sister, Kathleen Haataja; grandchildren, Justin Chambers (Jill), Seth Chambers, Blake and Blair Davis; great-grandchildren, Jake and Jordan Chambers, Braxton Davis, and Blakelee Myrick.
Active pallbearers will be Justin Chambers, Seth Chambers, Blake Davis, Shane Hanback, Keith McDaniel, Daniel Pigg, and Michael Chambers.
Honorary pallbearers will be Dan Richardson, Larry Haataja, Roger Jackson, Jerry Phillips, Mike Montgomery, and Frank Esposito.
The family wishes to express their appreciation to Dr. Felix Morris and Dr. Hemant Patel for the wonderful care given to our Mother. A special thanks to Amedysis Hospice for the outstanding care given to our Mother during her brief illness, especially Courtney Abston and Brandy Curry. A special thanks to Melanie Pigg for her loving care, Shane, Amy, Kayla, and Morgan Hanback for being such kind, caring, and loving neighbors, and also a host of family, friends, and neighbors.
