Spring Fling 2015…Drug Bust In Limestone County…17 Arrested

ATHENS-Friday, May 1, members of the Athens Police Department and Investigators from the Limestone County Sheriff’s office set in motion operation Spring Fling 2015.

The joint forces executed arrest and search warrants in two waves. In the first wave the morning of Friday, May 1, officers served arrest warrants on individuals that lived mostly in Limestone County.

On Friday afternoon and evening  2 search warrants were served one at 708 Westmoreland Avenue and the other at 716 Hardy Street. Also served arrest warrants were served on individuals that live in the City of Athens.
Law enforcement started the day with 35 arrest warrants. Officers arrested 17 individuals on 26 charges.

The other 18 people were placed into the NCIC data base as wanted and law enforcement will continue to attempt to locate them in the coming days.

The two search warrants yielded a small amount of marijuana, crack cocaine, drug paraphernalia and $2000.00 cash.

Tia Leshae McCurry- Possession of Marijuana 2nd, Possession of Drug Paraphernalia

Justin Charles Stevens- Possession of Controlled Substance (Oxycodone, Sublingual), Unlawful Distribution of a Controlled Substance (Roxicodone 30mg)

Hazel Christina Thomas- Conspiracy to Commit a Controlled Substance Crime

Robert Shannon Wilbanks – Possession of Marijuana 2nd degree, Possession of Drug Paraphernalia

Karen Elaine Williams – Possession of Dangerous Drugs (Hydrocodone pills)

Kenneth Levorn Holt - Unlawful Distribution of a Controlled Substance (Crack Cocaine)

Larine Kelly Clark - Possession of Drug Paraphernalia
