Mary Joyce Hobson, age 85, of Sheffield, died Tuesday, April 28, 2015.
Her graveside service will be Saturday, at 10 a.m. in Oakwood Cemetery, Sheffield with Jania Anderson and David Rushlow officiating.
Mrs. Hobson was a native of Sheffield, a member of First Presbyterian Church, Sheffield, where she served as an Elder. She was a volunteer with Homeland Security and was a Poll worker. She was preceded in death by her husband, Luther H. Hobson.
She is survived by her son; Terry Hobson of Tuscaloosa; daughter, Teresa Hobson Hampton (Ron), of Peachtree City, GA; sister, Debby Graham of Jacksonville, FL; grandchildren, Bradley Hampton, Brooke Svoboda (Mike), Blake Hampton and great-grandson, Parker Hampton Svoboda.
Pallbearers are Bradley Hampton, Blake Hampton, Mike Svoboda, James McCorkle, David Branscomb and Ron Hampton.
In lieu of flowers memorials may be made to First Presbyterian Church, Sheffield or Hospice of the Shoals.
