Glenn Spann – Obituary

Glenn Spann, age 67, Haleyville, AL. passed away Sunday April 26, 2015 at his home. He was born in Arab, AL., a graduate of Arab High School, served in the United States Army having served two tours in Vietnam, played football at Jacksonville State, attended First United Methodist Church in Haleyville, and was retired after 25 years in Sales at Sunshine Homes in Red Bay, Al.

His visitation will be on Tuesday April 28, 2015 from 1:00PM – 2:00PM at Pinkard Funeral Home-Haleyville, with his funeral at 2:00PM in the chapel, with Don Laney and John Simmons officiating, burial to follow at Winston Memorial Cemetery.

Pallbearers are Mel Densmore, Mike Densmore, Jacob Densmore, Tim Gilbert, Reggie Weems and Stan Posey. Honorary Pallbearers will be the 1966 Classmates of Arab High School .

He is survived by his wife, Betty Jo Killen Spann; son, Chris Hallmark, his wife Jessica Blake Hallmark of Hoover; sister, Jo Densmore, her husband Sam of Wilsonville; sister in law, Lanelle Spann of Arab.; granddaughter, Emma-Glenn Hallmark of Hoover; and family, The Patrick’s of Bear Creek, The Killen’s of Tuscaloosa, The Cook’s of Scottsboro, Dot Culpepper of Haleyville, Penny Ford of Haleyville, The Cobb’s of Double Springs and The Killen’s of Scottsboro; and nieces and nephews.

He was preceded in death by his parents, J D and Iliva Hunt Spann; brother, James Spann
