Floy Elizabeth Mabe of Athens passed away Wednesday, April 22, 2015, at Athens Rehab and Senior Care. Mrs. Mabe was born in Cullman County, AL to Albert Humphries and Bertha Hart Humphries.
Services will be Saturday, April 25, 2015, 1:00 p.m., at Limestone Chapel Funeral Home with Fred Lackey officiating. Visitation will be Saturday, from 11:00 a.m. until 12:45 p.m. prior to the service. A private family burial will be in Ebenezer Cemetery in Cullman, Al.
Mrs. Mabe was a member of First Baptist Church of Athens, AL. She had a host of friends whom she loved. She was a loving mother and fantastic grandmother and exceptional friend to all she knew.
Preceded in death by two husbands, Paul Mabe and Cordell Thompson; one grandchild, Chris Wise; two sisters, Lois Wright and Faye Briscoe; one brother, Tolbert Humphries.
She was survived by two daughters, Joan Orman of Athens and Joyce Fuller and husband, David of Trussville, AL; one brother, Troy Humphries of Richmond, IN; three sisters, Madge Carter, Edith Bennett and Vernell McCravy all, of Vinemont, AL; four grandchildren, Chad Wise, Kimberly Fuller, Jason Fuller and Jeffrey Fuller; ten great-grandchildren; numerous nieces and nephews.
Pallbearers will be Chad Wise, Jason Fuller, Chase Wise, Danny McCravy, Charles McCravy, Alan Walker and Jeffrey Fuller.
