Funeral for Norman Lockhart, 85, of Hartselle will be Thursday, April 9, 2015, at 3 p.m. at Peck Funeral Home Chapel with Rev. Brad Eades and Rev. Charles Shaddix officiating. Burial will be in Hartselle City Cemetery. Visitation will be from 1 to 3 p.m. at the funeral home.
Mr. Lockhart, who died Monday, April 6, 2015, at Decatur Morgan Hospital, was born July 7, 1929, in Jefferson County to Estes Lockhart and Audie Entrekin Lockhart. He was a U.S. Navy veteran who served aboard the U.S.S. Enterprise. He was also retired from 3M Company where he worked as a maintenance mechanic. Mr. Lockhart was a member of First Baptist Church of Hartselle. He was preceded in death by his wife, Emily Shirley Walker Lockhart and his parents.
Survivors include two daughters, Dena Jackson (Charles) of Canton, GA and Rita Lockhart of Hartselle; one brother, John Lockhart of Hartselle; three grandchildren, Blake Penn, Shannon Penn and Caitlin Couey.
Pallbearers will be family and friends.
