Marie Augusta Jansen, age 87, passed away Sunday, April 5, 2015. Visitation will be today from 6-8 p.m. in Colbert Memorial Chapel. The service will be Thursday at 11 a.m. in Colbert Memorial Chapel. Burial will follow in Colbert Memorial Gardens. She was a member of the Shoals Seventh Day Adventist Church and its treasurer for 34 years.
She was preceded in death by her husband, Robert Jansen, daughter, Candi Jane Jansen Frezza, and brothers, Elmer and Charlie Sanderson.
Survivors are son, Thomas Jansen (Rita), of Benbrook, Texas; daughter, Karen White (Jim), of Randolph, Wisconsin; brother, Johnny Sanderson, of Lafayette, Louisiana; sisters, Marguerite Jansen, of Redlands, California, and Della Keele, of Walla Walla, Washington; sister-in-law, Carlene Sanderson, of Old Hickory, Tennessee; grandchildren, Thomas Jansen (TJ) Jr., Charles Jansen, Sean Sinnett, Aaron Sinnett, Isaac Sinnett, and Brittany Holland; and four great-grandchildren.
Pallbearers are Bo Sutton, Joey Vaden, Robbie Rausch, Ronnie Campbell, Troy Beaver, and Shawn Valentine. Honorary pallbearers will be Thomas Jansen, Johnny Sanderson, and Jonathan Holland.
