George Paul “Pete” Stackhouse – Obituary

Graveside service for George Paul “Pete” Stackhouse, 81, of Decatur, will be Monday, March 23, 2015, at 11 a.m. at Burningtree Memorial Gardens with Brother Eric Maddox officiating. Visitation will be tonight from 6 to 8 at Ridout’s Brown Service Funeral Home.
Mr. Stackhouse, who died Friday, March 20, 2015, at his residence, was born October 12, 1933, to Everett and Edna Lee Stackhouse. He has been married for 58 years to his wife, Ellen Callaway Stackhouse. He was retired from Western Auto and served in the Air Force.
Pete enjoyed working in his yard, watching wildlife, fishing, racing and drives in the country with his wife. He also looked forward to spending time with his kids and grandchildren and tracing his family genealogy.
He was preceded in death by his parents, his brother, Bill, and his sister-in-law, Martha. Pete is survived by his wife and three children, Paul, Rick (Tanya) and Jay (Yvette), and six grandchildren, Kristin, Shyanne, Kalyn, Cole and Julia Stackhouse and Danielle Johnson, and one great-granddaughter, Maylen Johnson, and many loving nieces and nephews.
