Ross Andrew King, Jr. age 82 of Athens, passed away Wednesday, March 4, 2015 at Limestone Health Facility. Mr. King was born November 13, 1932 in Limestone County, AL to Ross Andrew King, Sr. and Rachel Evelyn Foster King.
Services will be Monday, March 9, 2015 2:30 p.m., at Limestone Chapel Funeral Home with Greg King officiating. Visitation will be Monday, from 12:30 p.m. until 2:15 p.m. prior to the service. Burial will be in Limestone Memorial Gardens.
Mr. King retired from Monsanto Chemicals in 1995. He was a member of a Southern Baptist Church.
Preceded in death by his parents, Ross and Rachel King; one brother, J.B. King; one grandson, Ryan Ross Carroll.
Survived by his wife, Margaret Nell King of Athens; two sons, Tim King of Athens and Greg King and wife, Melinda of Athens; one daughter, Teresa Carroll and husband, Don of Clarksville, TN; four grandchildren, Braden Carroll, Josh King, Bethany Vera and Evan Carroll; on great-grandson, Sebastian Vera; one brother, Thomas King and wife, Bobbie of Elkmont; one sister, Christine Craig and husband, Robert of Athens; several nieces and nephews.
Pallbearers will be Curtis King, Mark Craig, Donald King, Josh King, Daniel Tarpley and Joey King. Honorary pallbearer will be Braden Carroll.
