Jewel Melinda Cagle Sharp – Obituary

Jewel Melinda Cagle Sharp, 93, of Decatur, died February 18, 2015. Visitation will be at Roselawn Funeral Home on Monday, February 23, 2015, at 1 p.m. with service following at 2 p.m. Burial will be in Roselawn Cemetey. Brother Mike Cagle will officiate.

Mrs. Sharp was a devout Christian who put Jesus first in her life. She was a lifelong member of Beltline (Memorial Drive) Church of Christ. She was blessed with many relatives and friends. Mrs. Sharp was preceded in death by her husband of 53 years, Homer C. Sharp; parents, Minnie and Luther Cagle; 11 siblings, infant Cagle, Ruth Mammarelli, Rachel Parker, Zada Baird, Flossie Owen, Millard, Elvege “Buddy”, Bob, Floyd, Leonard and Greer Cagle, infant Kelso; and son-in-law, Crane Collier.

She is survived by her daughter, Sue Kelso and husband, Jerry, daughter, Carol Collier, son, Luke Sharp and daughter, Gwen Clark and husband, Clyde; six grandchildren and six great-grandchildren.

Pallbearers will be Cody Harris, Jaylen Harris, Eric Kelso, Nick Kelso, Chris Sharp and Brent Sharp.

The family wishes to thank Dr. Buckner and the doctors, nurses and staff of Decatur Health and Rehabilitation.
