Sue Johnson Rowe, 60, of Athens passed away Friday, February 6, 2015, at her home after a long battle with cancer. Mrs. Rowe was born on November 28, 1954, in Athens, Alabama to Janelle and Ernest Johnson.
Visitation for Mrs. Rowe will be from 10:00 a.m. until 1:45 p.m. on Tuesday, February 10, 2015, with services following at 2:00 p.m. at Limestone Chapel Funeral Home with Cheryl Wager and Brother Eddie Gooch officiating. Burial will be in Cambridge Cemetery, on Cambridge Lane, in Athens, Alabama.
Mrs. Rowe was a faithful member of First United Methodist Church in Athens, Alabama. She worked at The Athens-Limestone Hospital Women’s Center and later in Home Health.
She was preceded in death by her father, Ernest Johnson and grandparents, M.Y. and Reba Douthit.
She is survived by her mother, Janelle Johnson; husband Wales T. Rowe “Buddy”; son, B.J. Rowe and granddaughter, Tristan; son, Keith Rowe and wife Autumn; daughter, Katie Rowe; aunt and best friend, Ruthann Barksdale, all of Athens, Alabama.
Pallbearers will be Jay Daly, Russ Daly, Morgan Ellis, Wes Isom, Luke Johnson, Billy Long, John Newby and Joe Sowell.
