Funeral for Mrs. Joyce Russell Barnes, 55 of Decatur, Alabama will be 1:00 pm, Monday at United Pentecostal Jubilee House of Prayer with Bishop Thomas D. Strong officiating and inhumation to follow in Sterrs Cemetery. The body will be placed in the church one hour prior to service. Public viewing will be Saturday and Sunday from 2-6 at the funeral home. The family will receive friend from 5-6 on Sunday at the funeral home.
Mrs. Barnes was born in Decatur, AL on May 3, 1959, the beautiful daughter of the late Lula Mae Jackson and the late John Thomas Holden. She departed this life on January 28, 2015 at Summerford Nursing Home in Falkville, Alabama.
She gave her life to Christ at a young age and joined the Pentecostal House of Prayer.
She was preceded in death by her mother, Lula Mae Jackson and her father John Thomas Holden, a twin sister, Joy Russell, a brother, Billy Ray Jackson, two nieces, Brittany Johnson and Marcia Johnson.
