William T. “Bill” Hester, age 81, of Muscle Shoals, Alabama, passed away Monday, Feb. 2, 2015. Visitation will be today from 10-11 a.m. at Colbert Memorial Chapel with service to follow in the chapel at 11 a.m. Brother Kenny Moorer will be officiating. He was a member of College View Church of Christ in Florence, Alabama. Bill was the last hourly worker for Ford Motor Company when they closed in Sheffield, Alabama.
He was preceded in death by parents, Red and Alma Hester, son, William Michael Hester, and sister, Betty Jo Hooper.
Survivors are wife of 60 wonderful years, Genell Hester; daughter, Lesa Rickard (Alan); grandchildren, Lindsey Rickard Jones (Clay), Laurie Ellen Rickard, and Kelly Hester Lane (Jeremy); three great- grandchildren; brothers, Wayne Hester (Carolyn) and Gerald Hester (Kathy); sisters, Ann Taylor and Sue Taylor; a host of loving nieces and nephews; and other family members.
Pallbearers will be Jacob Hester, Dennis Hargett, Brent Hester, Jeff Hester, Clay Jones, and James Tassin.
A special thanks to Dr. Brad McAnally and staff and Hospice of North Alabama and staff for the care given to our dear loved one.
