Hollie H. Taylor, age 77, of Alva, Florida, formerly of Tuscumbia, died Friday, Jan. 30, 2015. His family will receive friends today, 6-8 p.m., at Morrison Funeral Home, Tuscumbia. His funeral service will be Thursday, 10 a.m., in the funeral home chapel with Dave Harris officiating. Burial will follow in Taylor Cemetery, Spruce Pine.
Mr. Taylor was a veteran and retired from General Motors.
He is survived by his wife, Maria A. Taylor, of Alva, Florida; son, Brian Taylor, of Lehigh Acres, Florida; daughter, Ann T. Bates and husband, Mark, of Nashville, Tennessee; brother, Thomas Eugene Taylor, of Tuscumbia; and granddaughter, Maya Bates.
Pallbearers are Brian Taylor, Mark Bates, Ronnie Morgan, Mike Bates, and Michael Bates Jr.
