Dorothy W. Killen, age 96, of Florence, formerly of Hatton, passed away Jan. 26, 2015. Visitation will be Wednesday, Jan. 28, from 9-11 a.m. at Spry-Williams Funeral Home, Florence. The funeral service will follow at 11 a.m. with Brother Brian Jarrett officiating. Burial will be at Tri-Cities Memorial Gardens.

Mrs. Killen was an elementary teacher for 32 years. She was employed with the Lawrence and Lauderdale County school systems and most recently taught at Harlan Elementary with the Florence City school system. She was a faithful member of Jackson Heights Church of Christ.

She was preceded in death by her husband, William Killen. She is survived by her sister, Peggy Masterson, Town Creek, sister-in-law, Sara Killen Turner, Ponte Vedra, Florida, and numerous loving nieces and nephews.
