John William “Bill” Coard, Jr., 82, of Huntsville passed away Sunday at a local hospital. Mr. Coard was a native of Leemont, VA and a resident of Madison County since 1972. He was a retired Master Sargent with the U.S. Air Force with 23 years of service. He was a member of the VFW and a Master Mason with Lodge #1236 in Levelland, TX. He was a loving father, grandfather and great-grandfather. Survivors include one son: John Michael Coard; one daughter: Vicki Lee Isabell; five grandchildren: Kelly Layne, Jessica Cowen, Kevin Drinkard, Michael Sizemore and Alena Terry and six great-grandchildren. Graveside services will be held Thursday at 2:00 p.m. at Valhalla Memorial Gardens with Bro. Ralph Snowden officiating, Berryhill Funeral directing. In lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be made to the Parkinson’s Foundation.
