Kimbell E. “Kim” Wright, age 54, of Tuscumbia passed away Saturday, January 10, 2015, after an extended illness. Visitation will be Tuesday from 1-2 p.m. at Morrison Funeral Home, Tuscumbia. The funeral service will follow at 2 p.m. in the funeral home chapel with Bro. Seth Hood officiating. Burial will be at Oakwood Cemetery, Tuscumbia.
Kim was a native of Colbert County and a member of First Baptist Church of Colbert Heights. He was an ironworker and a member of Local 477.
He was preceded in death by his father, Ralph Harold Wright and grandparents, Fred and Annie Lou Wright and Ernest and Irene Hooper.
He is survived by his mother, Betty Lou Wright; sister, Becky Wright Hyde and husband Allan; brothers, Keith Wright and wife Janet and Conley Wright and wife Debbie.
Pallbearers will be Allan Hyde, Jr., Keith Wright II, Allen Burleson, Greg Vandiver, Sam Barnett, Lawrence Kimbrough, Cecil Smith, and Billy Wix.
In lieu of flowers memorials may be made to the First Baptist Church of Colbert Heights Building Fund.
