Enock Fred ‘Steve’ Stevens, 90, of Huntsville, AL passed away Thursday. Mr. Stevens was preceded in death by his wife of 49 years, Jeannette Marie Johnson Stevens (2001). He was a veteran of WWII and the Korean Conflict. He was a 1970 graduate of Arizona State University and worked at Home Federal and 1st Federal Banks in Phoenix, AZ as Branch Manager. Mr. Stevens also worked for the IRS in Phoenix as a consumer advocate. He was a member of the Masonic Lodge for over 50 years.
Survivors include daughter, Jeanne Crown (John, Jr.) of Huntsville, AL; son, Carl Stevens (Patricia) of Virginia Beach, VA; grandchildren, John Crown III, Steven Crown, Katrina Steele (Brian), Daniel Stevens (Kelly) and David Stevens; great-grandchildren, Kevin and Benjamin Stevens; and sisters, Margaret Stevens of Stockton, CA, and Winnifred Burkhart (Karl) of Orange Lake, FL.
Visitation will be from 5 to 7 p.m. Thursday at Laughlin Service Funeral Home. The funeral service will be at 3:00 p.m. Friday at St. Thomas Episcopal Church. Burial will be in Massachusetts National Cemetery in Bourne, MA.
In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to the USO.
