Kathleen Lax French – Obituary

Kathleen Lax French, 77, of Iuka, Mississippi, died Sunday, December 7, 2014, at the North Mississippi Medical Center in Iuka. Mrs. French was a member of the Iuka Red Hat Society and the Iuka Homemakers Club. She was also a supporter of the Friends of the Iuka Public Library. She enjoyed caring for her friends and neighbors. Visitation is scheduled for 5:00 until 9:00 p.m., Tuesday, December 9, at Cutshall Funeral Home in Iuka. Funeral services are scheduled for 1:00 p.m., Wednesday, December 10, at Cutshall Funeral Home Chapel in Iuka, officiated by Bro. Dwight Turner. Interment will follow in Oak Grove Cemetery. Pallbearers include Jack Norwood, Orville Oeser, Jonathan Renburg, John Hines, Randy Norwood, and Joe Patrick. Cutshall Funeral Home of Iuka, MS is entrusted with arrangements. Survivors include her husband of 60 years, Frank French of Iuka; two daughters, Lela Gail Renburg (David) and Susan Hines (John), all of Lyles, TN; her dearest friend, Linda Ferguson of Iuka; five grandchildren, Benjamin Renburg, Jaclyn Stovall, Dr. Ingrid Gindin, Jonathan Renburg, and Robyn Renburg; and six great-grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her father, Benedict Lax; her mother, Annie Adele Derrington Lax Hand; a brother, Thurman Benedict Lax; and an aunt for whom she was a long-time caregiver, Mattle Lou Milam.
