Haran Mark Hunter – Obituary

Haran Mark Hunter, 54, died on Saturday, November 29, 2014, at his home in Orange Beach. He was preceded in death by his father, Mark G. Hunter.

Survivors include his mother, Eva Nell Hunter of Decatur; and three sisters, Mara Hunter Rice (Rudy), DuQuoin, IL, Rena Hunter Burns (John), Franklin, TN, and Cindy Hunter Windle (Mark), Hot Springs, AR. He also left many nieces and nephews.

A memorial service led by Dr. Rob Jackson will be Thursday, December 4th at Central Baptist Church in Decatur. Visitation will begin at noon followed by the memorial service at 1 p.m. A graveside service with inurnment following will be at 11 a.m. Saturday, December 6th in Smithville Cemetery, Smithville MS.

Haran graduated from Decatur High School, and after two years at Belmont College in Nashville, he completed a degree in Recording Industry Management from MTSU in Murfreesboro, TN. His career spanned a wide range of employment opportunities such as work with Christian recording artists, managing theaters and arenas, and publicity management. He also worked as a ranch hand and finally went to real estate, where he worked for the past 15 years. Haran was a member of First Baptist Church in Orange Beach.
