Sandra Gallien Sharp, 67, Florence, Alabama, passed away November 30, 2014, at her residence. The family will receive friends Thursday, December 4, 2014, from 10:30 a.m. until Noon at The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter Day Saints on Broadway Blvd. in Florence. Funeral services will follow in the Chapel at Noon, with the burial at Tri-Cities Memorial Gardens. Survivors include her loving husband of 50 years, J.R. Sharp, son, Robbie Sharp and wife Emily, daughter, Tammy Sharp, daughter Kristi Sharp Wilkinson, son, David Sharp, brother Jerry Gallien and wife Glenda. She was adored as “Nanna” by her 10 grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her parents, Hayes Gallien and Elizabeth Gallien. Pallbearers include Trey Sherrod, Wade Frye, Dwight Frye, Ronnie Roberts, Garvis Dixon and Mike Frazier. Sandra was a devoted wife and loving mother to her children, as well as their friends. She will be remembered for her talent for cooking, her sense of humor and her selfless devotion to all of those in need. She was a life long member of The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter Day Saints. She loved her family unconditionally. Her cousins, Nancy Lovelace Gooch and Nita Montgomery Jones, were very special to her. Special thanks to Linda Persall and Jewell Sharp for all of their support and love. The family would like to thank all of the friends and family who have comforted them in their time of need.
